I don't see anyone selling their Cobb for this any time soon unless it does something more than Cobb does feature wise. For guys looking to save some money that don't already have a flasher it may be an alternative but it'll all depend how well this thing really works once its available to the general public and more eyes are on it.

This has race logic that Cobb ATR doesn't have.

You didnt open or close any doors, trunk, or hood did you. This was the only time mine has ever failed. You should be able to do it properly and rewrite. How I do it, put down the window, lean in threw the window, put key in slot, push start will the dash lights up. From the window setup to flash the car. When its done use the directions on the flasher.

Do Not Open Or Close Any Part Of The Car When Flashing!

No problem. Glad it worked. The first flash took me 38 mins, then it takes 2-3 per shot. Its the first flash to unlock everything. Glad I could help.

That's taking so long to flash. Will their be speed inprovements before this is officially released? I can switch maps in less than 60 seconds with a Cobb now and first install was only 10 minutes or so.

Depends on the hardware being used. Not everyone will have the same phone or android device. Some will flash faster than others. Its in the opening of this thread.

well I just flashed the e40 map with a galaxy note 4, and it still took 37 minutes. I'm not complaining about this, but I need to see how long it takes after the initial flash to switch maps; i.e. from e40 map to stage 2 map. If it takes over 2 minutes to switch maps, then it will need some speed improvements. My first initial test log using my own map shows a pretty good sample rate...about 0.07 seconds. I'll post a log shortly with the e40 map.

Got the E40 map up and running today. First try had a failed write at 47%
Second try completed without issue. I was using a 10Amp batt charger.

This is more of a general question but I don't want to make an entire thread for it.
Is it possible via flash tune to adjust the default wastegate position at cruise/idle similar to like the Procede did?
I ask because with my aftermarket exhaust there was a noticeable change in exhaust tone with a 50% vs 90% setting. Some procede maps defaulted to 50% while others were 90%.
I preferred the 90% setting to tame the exhuast sound a bit.

How's the performance of the E40 map (compared to cobb / jb4 stacked)? I'm running a jb4 stacked with a custom backend flash based on the BMS E85 flash now FYI. I'm also part of the beta testing group for MHD bit haven't had time to flash as I was traveling for work. Flashing it on this evening. Quite excited.

Should we expect the exact same performance from the E40 MHD flash as people saw with the cobb based flashes? In terms of engine management?

Anyone have logs yet?

93 variations will come for sure, we just focus on 91 maps right now.

The ECU/communication is maxed out by any device. Here is a log of 20 parameters at roughly 16hz from a customer self tuning his stock turbos on 94 gas:

Shoot me a PM if you want to test the logging part.

Do you have pointers outside their website so I can have a look?

Maps will improve during the beta period making comparisons a bit moot for the moment.

A little note on flashing duration. Performance is hardly affected by the Android device, nowadays handleheld devices provide plenty of power. Flash times are limited by the nature of the K/Dcan cables.

On early models - KLine, map switching time is 1min (like St2 to stock like stg0), and install time is 17min. Revert to stock is 9min.
On later models (around 2008) using DCan, map switching time is 2min, and install time is 36min. Revert to stock is 20min.

I will explore other connection possibilities after the beta.

Best to turn off everything while doing any flashing.

My procedure is:

-Get in car, put key in but don't press the start button

-Turn off AC and fans, turn off lights, disable DRL in settings menu then finally turn off the sat nav screen.

-Plug device into OBD port, lower drivers window.

-Get out of car and close the door, then lean in through the open window and hit the start button for the car.

-Operate coding device through window without opening the door.

Don't open any doors until the coding is complete. Doing so will put the ECU to sleep.

Regarding autotune, I don't think is possible without a piggyback. There's no fudging of values involves in an ECU tune, you just let the ECU do its job.

Ken is more acquainted with the PROcede than I am, I am sure we can make it happen.

There are settings that can be changed for WG Position within the ROM. We would need to test it to make sure it does what you want it to do.
