DVD in motion not working for some reason?

Why does the DVD in motion for the e92 LCI /w iDrive (NEW) not work?
Something isn't right.

Thanks,

Maybe post the reason why it's not working instead of making a comment like that? Might be a good way to start?

I have had no problem coding VIM for e92 car with CIC navigation.

I have never coded myself, but the guy that tried to do it on my car couldn't figure it out.

I have no diagnosis as to why myself. I posted it because I heard it was a common issue or something.

So far I am 4/4 with VIM on e92 cars.
Maybe the person doing the coding doesn't know exactly how to do it or there is an issue with coding your car.

There's no common issue, except person doesn't know how to code it.
There are many ways to code VIM and all work.

+1

I'm about 200/200 hahaha on X5's and E9X's. Shouldn't be an issue.

When coding an e9x LCI for this, is there a special software exclusive to dvd in motion that is required to unlock this feature?

Someone was telling me that there is a dvdinmotion.com software that sells for like $170 that must be used when coding to unlock this feature.

No. Coding is an all inclusive solution to VIM

There is DVD software is available, and I was quoted $150, that would do the same thing. I am not sure if that if VIM is coded to your car whether or not would be lost if BMW does an firmware update to your car. Chime in anayone,

It is possible that it would be overridden yes.
But that's why many shops will offer discounted recoding for a certain time period as we do
