Haven't tried WD-40. It's not the usual 3m double sided tape. It's some type of glue and I can't seem to get it off.

Saturday - Took her up old Pacific highway up to Mt White.

Sunday - Went on a Mustang club run as a passenger in a 2019 S550.
The stock Mustang goes like snot and they have come a long way since my 93 fox body 5.0 BUT it's still not a BMW.

Managed to replace my o2 sensors, from the top!
All the videos telling you that the steering column and do it from the bottom....
All you need is a 22mm crows foot socket, take off the engine cover and get your hand down there!

Good stuff, I did remember doing up the o2 sensor from the top using the crows foot too when changing the downpipes. Perhaps removing/moving the plastic coolant tank next time could make things more comfortable.

RDA rotors and bleed nipples haha

RDA dimpled rotors went on Saturday for both fronts.
Came in their matte grey 'skin' which comes off as you bed the rotors.

Bled the front two brakes after getting more brake fluids. If you ever find the brake nipples blocked aka fluids dribbling out of the threads instead of the nipples, simply get an assistant to do three pumps and hold while you undo the brake nipple fully. There's a weep hole at the end of the nipple which could be blocked. Brake cleaner and pick tool works best to unclog.
Remember your mate/wife/neighbour/cat should be holding down that brake pedal to prevent air being sucked in as your work to unclog the brake nipple and screwing the brake nipple back on righty tighty.

Now back to the RDA dimpled rotors, more bite is a definite. The TRW pads were only 3000km and experienced both the old and new rotors. Should have gotten new pads but I can't justify chucking out 3000km/2month old pads.
Remember to install them the right way since the slot pattern and direction of travel matters!!
Bedding the rotors was doing 60km braking to 10km for about 8-10 times on a closed track circuit.

ps: never wrote the word 'nipple' on the internet so many times before.

I'd like to hear more on your RDA rotors experience as you go. Also, how are the TRW pads as an OE replacement? Brake shop I went to wasn't too fond of them.

Blew the H8 bulb on my DRL. Anyone know where I can get a replacement in store? Everywhere I've looked says special order.

I'm guessing that in a pinch I could steal a globe out of a fog light but prefer not to.

Trw pads have an oem feel to it. In euroland trw appears to be well known and actually manufacture for bmw. Fcp euro lists m3 control arms as trw branded arms.
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...rade-bmwmcakit

They were on clearance at repco for next to nothing.

Dislike is the dustyness of the trw pads, ironically like the oem ones.

Washed my car and removed all that paint splatter that was all on the right side of my car. Also removed the spoiler it used to have.

Yeah changed all the control arms and fitted coilovers - yet to dial everything in, so I'll get the poly subframe bushings done while the cars on stands!
