Help Needed with New Tire Selection 2011 335IS

Hi Eveyone,

I have to change all 4 tires on my 2011 BMW 335IS, it still has the original run flats mounted. I do not want to go with the run flats again.

Can anyone tell me the best low profile all season sports tire to buy?

I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada... it rains a lot here.

My tire sizes are:

225/35R19 x 2 on the front

255/30R19 x 2 on the rear

Thanks,

I know of no all season tires that are made in both 225/35R19 and 255/30R19.

yea only max summer tires in that size. you should go with pilot super sports in the summer and a dedicated winter the other 6 mos of the year.

Do this. But I would buy a second set of nice summer rims and then just swap sets. Keep stock for winter tires.

Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06

You could try 235/35R19 x 4.

Or 225/40R19 x 2 front and 255/35R19 x 2 rear

I went with the second option on my 328xi. No rubbing issues so far but my car isn't lowered and no spacers. 8.5" ET35 front and 9.5" ET40 rear.

Do you have the 19" style 313 wheels?

The Extreme Contact DWS06 is indeed an improvement over the old DWS, especially in steering response which was one of the common complaints of the old version.

Gary I am in the same situation. I have 19" OEM 230 wheels (F19x8 and R19x9) and need a set of all seasons but as you mentioned there are no matching sets in 225/35/19 and 255/30/19. What sizes would you recommend? I want to go with DWS06. The possible sets I found are 235/35/19 : 265/30/19 and 235/35/19 : 255/35/19. Any pros or cons going with either one?

Hay I live in Victoria and to be honest i just bought a set of snow tires and rims for 400 cash.. Rial 18 inch with Bridgestone Blizzak ws60 85% tread left.. I get Michelin Pilot super sports and then hunt craigslist for a set of winter rims and tires. trust me its the best option.... All season tires are a manufacture scam. Tires use to be all weather which was good but al season falls very short in 5deg or less weather.. just my 2 cents.. trust me you can find a set of rims and tires for under 800 used just keep looking. I got my DT van... Also found used Pilot sport rears for 450 90% tread left.. Vancouver etc has alot of bmw 335i guys selling used parts
