The E91 went up in flames in August. Finally got pictures from the event. The car was on uneven ground, it was super dry, it looks like the cat caught some pine needles on fire and the rest is history. No more sleeping in the car.

Fire was so bad they couldn't read any of the Vin #s on the car. Even called in a specialist. Had to have the DMV come in and declare it was the car I said it was(it was). When the engine caught on fire that was fun. Magnesium likes to burn. The firefighters were not a big fan of it.

So the E91 is gone. My wife's E90 becomes my winter beater/lake trip car. She gets a new to her Twin Turbo Diesel X5 that I put a tune on. I really like the X5, makes me want to sell the E90...

E92 is in storage for the winter. Hopefully will get her on the dyno come spring. I would kill for 450whp/500wtq but I think 430whp is more realistic. We shall see!

The X5:

Got some weather tech's for it:

I know the frustration of those firefighters lol, have a nice burn on my neck from fighting a magnesium car fire... Those things are fun to watch but a PITA to battle.

Latest Update:

I liked my wife's E70 twin turbo diesel w/ JBD tune so much I got myself one. The E90 N54 is no more, traded it in. I really needed something bigger for the family + dog especially for lake house trips. It has great low end tq and gets the best mileage of all the motors offered for the X5 26 highway 23 city. Not bad for an awd 5300lb SAV.

When I got it(I hate the front and rear reflectors):

White interior is nice, also has all season floor & trunk mats:

Added on a JBD tune like the wife's SAV:

Front reflector painted black:

Gotta remove the bumper to install them:

Rear reflectors painted black:

Changed the grill from stock to painted gloss factory black:
Before:

After:

Added on Lux 180 Angel eyes, Osram Zenarc CBI 6k HIDs, LED fogs that match the HIDs, tinted the windows, license plate frames, and some other small stuff. No plans to go any further with the E70 as it's just my DD. If the emissions stuff starts to fail I'll probably rip it all out and go with a custom tune so I can pass inspection.

E92 Updates:
Installed CF rear wing and painted it
Installed Mtech rear bumper w/ CF insert

E92 is in the shop right now getting a few bits installed(no pictures)
UUC Short Shift Kit with DSSR rod
Rogue engineering transmission bushings
034 Motor Mounts
Turner Solid aluminum subframe bushings
Turner Solid aluminum differential bushings
Boost Addictions differential lock down brace
New gear box and diff fluids redline and royal purple

Looking forward to picking the car up and seeing how different it feels.

Next up is a serious suspension upgrade. Already have m3 front arms, waiting till I have all the bits and pieces before I install and then get aligned/balanced.

I installed some Tips on the PE exhaust. Didn't like how small the pea shooters looked with the new rear bumper/insert.

From this:

To this:

Got the tips on ebay: 2.25" inlet 4" outlet 7" length Dual Wall Slant 304 Stainless Steel Exhaust Tip

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-25-inlet-4...ZWwd-N&vxp=mtr

I don't drive the car in the winter so no idea how they will hold up with a bad NE winter but they are they are resistant...

Thanks! It really adds a lot to the look of the car. The stopping power feels about as same as stock but they are significantly lighter and can handle track abuse.

These pictures kind of suck. Used my camera phone. These are Morimoto 2stroke v1s I installed in the factory fog lights. The V2s are supposed to be even brighter. The phone camera messes with the colors a bit. They are not as yellow as they appear. They almost match my aftermarket angel eyes perfectly. I like to drive around town with just the angel eyes and fogs on, no amber side marker or headlights etc.

Angel eyes on, no fogs:

Angel eyes on with fogs:

The aftermarket angel eyes are surprisingly bright.

Now I need a real suspension to go with the big boy turbo.
