changed injectors, now it´s dead!!!

Hello.

So I might have done something stupid, I bought cheap injectors from eBay.

First I got error message of missfire on cylinder 4 and changed this and everything was perfect.

After a few days I started getting rough idle again, but this time missfire on cylinder 1 ..

I bought three more injectors from the same seller and changed the rest. By the way, I got the 320i N43 4cyl engine.

I wrote down the new values and coded them, but now the car doesn't start ...

the starter motor turns, and there are some cough now and then, but not even close to start.

So any ideas of what could be wrong???

Sure. You purchased really, really, cheap injectors on Ebay and paid 1/10th of the normal price. What did you expect?

OK. Thanks for the constructive feedback 👍

But why isn’t it starting? Isn’t it getting fuel?

Maybe the car's software doesn't recognise them. What error codes do you get? I changed 3 injectors on mine (6 cylinders engine) and I know they are about 200£ each so I would expect all kinds of issues with injectors that are 10 times cheaper than the BMW OEM ones. I am not judging, these are expensive cars to run and they go wrong all the time, and I found the ones you bought when looking for mine but I stayed away from them as they were too cheap.
You know how they say....if a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.

It isn't starting because the injectors are fakes.

You probably won't listen but:
One-star the product, demand a refund, buy legitimate injectors.

If you're insistent that you're going to use this guy's injectors, force him to help you.

I didn’t realise you could get fake injectors for the n43?. I have changed these on my 1 series a few years ago, the car will start even if not coded.

I have been told the injectors will only refurbish if the tip isn’t damaged (crystal tip), if the tip is cracked (which will probably show up as a lumpy cold start idle) the injector is scrap. There is also issues with mixing the injector index’s in the same bank, although I’d imagine the car would still start.

If the car won’t start the first thing I’d be looking at would be the electrical connectors are fitted on correctly.....(assuming it all worked ok before)

Getting refurbs not off of eBay and from a trusted seller will be your next best cheapest option.
