Well, you know where the petroleum ChemE work is.....although I wouldn't want to move to texas either.

If the hill ever passes a Federal budget, the Patent and Trademark Office will likely resume hiring (suspended for now, due to the never ending continued resolutions). The hire ChemE's. It's a far cry from engineering, but it pays well (after a few years anyway) and much more secure.

I have actually applied for a position and it's been on hold due to the budget but I would love to have that job. I hope the budget passes (fingers crossed).

Yes, I think most of them have a career section on their website. Or you can search USAjobs.gov and DONHR which is for Navy jobs.

My company is hiring but it's for software consultancy and there's a training program that gets you started. If hired, you'll either work out of headquarters or rockville, MD. Pm me if you are interested.

Sorry to hear this. Been in that boat before. I'm looking for sales reps for IT Solutions- unfortunately we don't have a Chemical arm

This company is HQ'd here in Roanoke, but has locations around VA and mid atlantic from what I understand.

Very innovative company so I would imagine your combined work and inventive experience and nature would fit well!

If anyone is in IT Sales, and looking to work in western VA- hit me up on PM..
Company is:

Any of the oil/gas companies or fluid companies that deal with drilling operations would probably hire you. Not sure if your up for a drastic change in work environment/work schedule but, halliburton, baker hughes, chevron, exxon, bp and all the related companies are hiring for all positions right now. I'm sick of the 3 on, 3 off schedule but, for someone who wants to make some quick money it might be something to consider.(no engineer's on my rig make <100k)

Are you willing to relocate to southern MD? I work at Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, and I know we are hiring Engineers.

Try looking at usajobs.gov but you'll really need to brush up on your writing skills. Your original post will not give anyone an incentive to hire you as it is riddled with grammatical errors and spelling mistakes. In this economy even one typo can kill your chances.
