Absolutely not. It's never a good idea to respond to a recall notice.

My 335 just went in today to do that recall issue with the controller. They said that this will bypass the check engine light if ever the improper fuel was added into the car.

They wanted to give me a rental from Enterprise, but I wouldn't have it. They ended up lending me one of their sales vehicles: 2011 328 xdrive hehe

Wow 5th pump? that's crazy. How many km's are on your car? I also have an 09 and I'm at 15000km and no signs of an hpfp issue.

I was in for an oil change and the same recall came up on the screen. I said no thanks, I'm running Dinan software and have no HPFP issues. SA said it wasn't a big deal, just software, and then they'd re-flash the latest Dinan. But they needed the car for the whole day.

I only go to Open Road. In all honesty, I was very polite to them in asking for the BMW loaner because I'm good friends with pretty much everyone there.

This controller recall is taking a little longer to update....their computer crashed while uploading the software and now they had to do a hard reset. I'll be racking up the km's on their car until tomorrow.

haha I didn't get the notice either. I went in to get the valve stem on my rear tire fixed cuz it was leaking air. They just went ahead and did the recall issue for me...no point in coming back again for the recall.

I just had my low km oil change today (no microfilter change.)

I asked about the re-call and Parkview SA told me that yes there was a recall but it was for software upgrade/re-programming...so I wasn't sure what that meant...he said that I would have to leave the car for the entire day....
