Back from the wild. Spent a week fishing with my dad up in Ontario. No phone, no e-mail, no TV, no radio...a real treat to relax and catch a ton of fish.

So intercooler isn't arriving until the end of the month...did get my catch can though. Will fill people in on an install party when stuff comes.

Mods...done them myself until now. Another member's downpipes and coilovers were installed at ziptie dynoworks in SLC. (xi pain in the ass) Bimmer Motor Werks also comes highly recommended...however the tech that worked on my car has left...now selling Snap-On tools.

C&C sounds like fun...just let me know.

I drove my 1M 716 miles through Germany and Austria. To sum it all up the car is Fabulous!

The car drives just as I hoped it would. Since the 1M doesn't have Run Flats on it it is a much better ride than my 335i with Run Flats. The car feels very nimble and toss-able, power is Great. Driving in say third gear at ~40 or so then pressing the M button on the steering wheel caused the car to surge forward since it dramatically changes the throttle mapping giving a very near Naturally Aspirated engine feel as you rev the engine.

Then there is the sound of the exhaust.

This is the Best sounding OEM exhaust I have ever heard on any BMW!

The fender flairs and wheels just can't be captured by photos, they are great looking in person.

The six speed manual is the BEST I have ever used in a BMW. It allows for much quicker shifting between first to second thanks to a new type of syncros without any feeling of forcing into second. Overall the gates are very tight and very smooth shifting.

I didn't get the car over 110 mph on the Autobahn in respect for the 1200 mile break in period, nor did I floor the car to feel the additional boost and max torque. I will save that for after the car is fully broken in.

The deliver process at the Welt is great, with owners having access to the second floor lounge all day long with food and drink as you please. The factory tour wasn't very good this time. The assembly section of the plant was closed to the tour, most likely due to the changes in prep of the new F30 3 series. It was still good though.

Can you tell I am loving the 1M.
