There is one wire/connector that is used to put the car in deep
sleep mode for shipping that will always remains unplugged for normal use. electical e90 pdf http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...,d.cGU&cad=rja http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...85464276,d.cGU http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...85464276,d.cGU IBS has two plugs coming off it generally they are blue. One goes into the Battery distribution block for power the other goes up into the main wire bundle along the Fender/(wheel well ) also a small blue plug. Thanks guys. Appears the general consensus is that it suppose to be unplugged and that the cable was for shipping purposes. I will just leave it then.
Not sure what the error I am getting is for then. Engine / Motor: - Fault: Intelligent battery sensor, communication - Code: 002E8E |

i would check to see the the BSD line is plugged in
which is the small blue plug and that the power cable for the IBS which is the larger blue plug is plugged into the battery distribution block in one of the slots that is populated with a 12 volt plug. You can see the BSD line in the first picture(small blue connector wrapped with large cable bundle) the power cable for the IBS that goes to one of the slots on the battery distribution block is obscured by the battery hold down clamp.(first link last response) Not all slots have and active 12 volt blade if they didn't get it back to the same one it could have no power. When my battery was changed the BSD line got unplugged which is why they were wondering why they couldn't register the battery. Last edited by ctuna; 09-24-2018 at 05:12 PM.. |

Thanks ctuna for the links and info. Very helpful!
I checked the small and and larger blue plugs. The both appear to be plugged into the correct spots. I also was able to register my new battery with no issue. |
