Helix is supposed to be a really great shop, I heard a lot about them when I lived on the east coast and had a MINI. I already have a JB2R so no need for the Attache, but I'm sure it will be an awesome product. I'm interested in the intercooler they're coming out with.

This is actually a really good idea. I mean, how much could those cost? $10? I'd rather pay a few dollars more and not have to use electric tape.

The connectors did not fit exactly in my case. You can use a 4mm shrink hose. Easy to remove, when you warm it up.

Oh really? That's not good news, but thanks for the info. Shrink hose is another good idea, I have plenty of it in the garage that I've never used.

You keep saying us. Are you a tester or the tuner? I am just curious because your descriptions are not too technical. Please do not take that the wrong way though.

No youre right. I am only the tester, I have no tuning capabilities whatsoever. Also, I am not an employee of the company, I just feel a part of it. I will be more accurate in the future using "they" and "I" to distinguish who is saying what.

So...Procede 1.47 power, without the solenoid bypass, for roughly half the price.

I'm bloody well in.
Keep us posted HyperM3. I can't wait to see what the final retail version is capable of.

As of right now

They are working on getting it to v2 power, without the solenoid bypass(physically) for still roughly half the price.

As of right now I dont know the timeframe and I dont even want to make empty promises. They want to make sure the correct product is released to the market free of any hiccups and without any limp modes.

Hopefully everyone can wait just a little bit for a worryfree product that will make them very happy in the long run.

j.k.

Nice write up. So, I guess your PROcede is for sale? lol!

No wonder you didn't reply to my e-mail. lol! I sent you an e-mail to your work e-mail address.

We should do some runs when I find a place to get 100 octane. lol!

It will be Attache vs. JB2R

Just for fun of course.

shouldn't u get wider/bigger wheels and stiffer suspension first??

LOL... I dunno about that... If its as good as you make it sound you may not see me for awhile

But on a serious note, I'm glad I read this post, I'd prefer to deal with a local product/installer, just in case...
Plus I like being able to say "I know where you live/work!"

What I feel most confident in is the tune will be so "trouble free", that nobody will have to worry how far they are from Helix. While I cant guarantee that statement, I feel safe saying it. I personally dont believe anyone should have a fear in the back of their mind when purchasing mods that they need the company's number on speed dial. If you have that fear, then you should find a mod you feel more comfortable with after further research.

I will try to give as much up to date info as to what Im experiencing with the Attache as I drive it. This way, you all have the chance to ride with me and get to know the product as it advances. Ultimately, when its in your car, you will know the stages of development it went through and will have no doubt about its abilities in your car.

What I like most about Helix is the fact that they are going to have EVERYTHING IN STOCK prior to selling to the market. Thats a huge plus for me at least.

Alex- so the power delivery is smooth all the way (like stock) and not a big surge at ~3500-4k like PROcede, right?

Right now in the version of the tune I have has a slight delay before the power comes on(something being worked out in the next update for me). However, once the power does come on its like a kick in the pants and doesnt let off till its time to shift. It really drives like an N/A car right now being that no matter where you are in the rev range, theres power there for the taking. I actually find myself downshifting to enjoy the cacophony of sounds coming together to form the perfect straight six symphony.

The target street price will be $795. In the little bit of knowledge I have, it will be available as soon as Helix feels its ready to be sold and theres enough product in stock to be able to take orders.
