Looking to lower my ride

Hey guys, I'm looking to drop my car and I need some advice on what kind of springs to go with. I don't want the ride to be harsh at all. Looking for that smooth ride with a lowered touch.

You would want to go with coils then. I have springs and kind of regret not going all the way with coils. A lot better ride and won't wear out your stock shocks. It also depends on your tires as well but if you are looking for ride comfort I would go coils. Springs will be pretty harsh through bumps and just general driving.

I wanted what you want, and my KW ST coilovers fit the bill perfectly.

How much did the KW ST coilovers cost you? Also did which version did you get?

From everything I've read and conversations I've had the ST Coils are the best bang for the buck for sure if you want that kind of ride quality. It's what I'll do when the time comes too.

Got mine from ECS Tuning for about a grand. ECS Part# ES#2225901

http://www.ecstuning.com/ES2225901/

Next logical question: how low did I go? Couldn't tell ya, forgot to ask the installer! But I think it's about 1" lower in front, and 1.5" lower in back.

a typical setup would be:

Koni struts pair with either Eibach or H&R springs...

Cant go wrong with that setup.

If you want adjustability, then you will want coilovers.

yeah get could whether it be st or kw (same company but st is galvianized steel and has a 5 year warranty as opposed to inox-stainless steel and lifetime warranty respectively. kw is better for areas near oceans and where salt is used on the roads but also more expensive.
you might wanna shop around for best price but im betting that Tiago@vrsf will have the best price when I bought mine. good luck you defenently will not regret getting coils.

With the 100 buck rebate on ST X coilovers right now they are pretty hard to say no to! As NGEE said, they sound like they fit what you're looking for to a T!

I would suggest you to look into the "BC-Racing BR-type Coilovers". They aren't that expensive and what I have read about them so far is mostly positive.

I have put an order on them for myself 2 days ago.

The general consensus seems to be that aside from coilovers the koni yellow sports with H&R or Eibach springs work really well.
