I'm shocked at how many n55 cars there have been for sale. There have been very few n54 cars for sale. Wonder what that's all about. |

Very low miles, just xdrive instead of rwd. Checks most of the other boxes.. |

I honestly think a lot of N54's are higher mileage or have had repairs that people didn't want to deal with and they parted ways with them long ago to someone who's willing to put up with them and can do their own work. The N54 has way more tuning capability, but the N55 is no doubt a far more reliable powertrain (and I personally think it sounds far better with the PPK tune, too). |

I'll pay a premium for the right car in a heartbeat, but I'm going to be a realistic about that premium. If I'm paying for a finder's fee on top of a premium that should give you an idea of how serious I am. But say someone has THE car I'm looking with every single box checked. If they think I'm going to buy it for $30K then they're mistaken. Someone may buy it, but it won't be me. Quote:

If only you were considering sapphire black... haha. Seriously though, good luck again with your search. You have much more patience than I do!
Mine is still up. Some bites here and there but about what I expected with the current situation. Still keeping an eye out for you on my end as well.

Patience is wearing thin. Fortunately I have a couple other fun cars I can kick around to break out of the X5 monotony. Really, REALLY miss my 335 as a daily. I appreciate you keeping an eye out for me though. Patience is key for both of us. |

Massive disappointment today. Great spec popped up last night. 2011 AW/black M sport RWD with 58k in beautiful condition showed up at BMW of Tulsa. Gone first thing this morning. Was ready to buy and go get it. super bummed.

I know people poo poo dealer maintained cars but this was a two owner car that was originally sold by this dealer and serviced its entire life there. This was the one. But someone else clearly was looking for the same thing. Didn't last long at all. |

I just bought mine 2 months ago, searched for a few months for the "right" car, so I get it! I had to have the N54 and after spending $ on SEVERAL ppe's on cars across the country, I found mine in Winterpark, FL. I'll keep my eyes peeled for you too. I had a huge network of friends and family, coast to coast, who turned up dozens of cars that I never saw listed on any sites.
With that said....your color stipulations are killing me right now as I'm seeing TONS of beautiful cars that are in your sweet spot, TONS! But none of them are your preferred color combos! ....quite a few seem to be stellar deals too. Ever thought about buying something that checks all of the other boxes and wrapping the car whatever color you love best? |

But I'm trying to avoid an extensive project. I want it turnkey for the most part so I can focus on the mods. I struggle with wraps. 1) that's at least $2k on top of the car if you want it done right. I'd rather spend that on coilovers or wheels. 2) wraps don't look nearly as good as paint. I can deal with a satin wrap. But a gloss wrap looks so horrible in my opinion. it just looks too cheap. But if the price is right, it could be a possibility. One of the best colors I've recently seen is a frozen dark blue on an e92 M3. So, maybe I could get a LMB car and out a matte PPF on it for a satin or frozen look. So enough of that. Let's see these m sports that are checking all the boxes! 😉 |

I totally understand!!! I spent about 3.5 months searching for an E93 335i or "is" with the sport package, coral interior, 75k or less and it had to have at least a couple of the known issues dealt with already.....ie. water pump, thermostat, OFHG's (because it had to have the factory oil cooler) and valve cover gasket. I have goals for this self described summer fun car and had 313m wheels in my garage before the car. After finding 2 that fit the bill....1 in Washington state and the other in AZ, they both failed PPE's miserably. I gave up on the coral interior and when I opened up my search a bit E93's began falling from the sky! I've come to LOVE my space gray car with the gray interior. I was afraid it was too monotone for me....but when I finally laid eyes on it it ended up being all me!! It had the waterpump and thermostat freshly done and I've stacked up parts for next spring....wagner intercooler, SSR DCI's, OFHG's, new coolant reservoir, vaccum lines, Eonon head unit, M3 control arms....and a few more bits. The pile in the garage is getting massive.
A cousin of mine ran into a guy in Georgia who had an E93 and an E90 and he was looking to get rid of 1 of them....he hadn't decided which and hadn't listed them. Both were under your mileage cap....both had the M sport package, but I wasn't paying attention to the E90 and don't recall the color combination. I'll reach out to my cousin to see if he still has the guys contact information. I had already sent the money for my car so I didn't hang on to his information. If I can get it I'll PM it to you! GL with the search! |
