ECU coding

Anyone able to do this in the Kansas City area? I'd be willing to drive a few hundred miles for it.

$$ in it for you too!

You would think that the Bavtech would be able to accomplish this.

No! BavTech uses it's own protocol for communication with the CAN bus. I've tried to use it with INPA as it has a "Serial" mode, but it doesn't work despite everything I've tried. Best bet, get a cheap K+Can for your pre 2009 (like $36) or a K+D-can for your 2009 and later (under $100).

Note: if anyone in the St. Louis area wants any coding of the sort that is mentioned in the link in post 2, I'll do it for free (or maybe a beer). I live in the Alton IL area.

Figured I'd bring this back up. I am really interested in this. If there is enough people around I will learn how to do this. I am a computer guy anyway so coding and shit should be easy to figure out

Any news on this? I'd be willing to "donate" to any member that has purchased the cable if they would code a few things on my car. Anyone in the CO area interested?
