Pre-LCI to LCI seat swap coding?
Hello guys. I've done a fair amount of searching and googling and scouring the far reaches of the web for a concise answer to my question. The car I am dealing with is an 09 335i, with base model power + heated seats (US spec). I have found a seat of sport seats for a pretty good deal and I want to put them in my car. So far as I have been able to determine, there are a few things that will need changed. It looks as my LCI car will have active headrests and the Pre-LCI will not. I can remove the wiring from them and swap them over no problem. My problem exists with the passenger occupancy sensor and that it needs coded to the car. Another problem I may also have is that I'm not sure if the Pre-LCI seats have the airbags built into them as I'm pretty sure my current seats do.
How can I code this passenger occupancy sensor to the vehicle? Will the Pre-LCI seats come with airbags in them? I do NOT want to code anything out, I do not want any compromises or "work-arounds" for the SRS system, I want it left completely functional and in tact, as my family sometimes rides in this car with me. All the threads I've found have these features being coded out/disabled and that's not something i want to do. Thanks for your help! |
