Several Fault Codes - 6292 and 6293

Hello everyone,

I know nothing about BMW's. I have a 2011 328I and it has been having an issue sputtering, misfiring, poor acceleration, and shaking to name a few.

It recently began to shut off.

It started with driving about an hour then I suddenly could not accelerate. The car did not shut off, I was pressing the gas but quickly losing speed and no answer. I had to pull into the shoulder and attempted to start the car and it would crank and crank. Got a tow truck to take it home and they said when they got to it 30 minutes later it started up fine.

It worked for some time and did it again. This time after about 10 minutes it started up and I drove it home

Took it to a "Specialist" and they flushed the transmission and changed the filter saying that could be it sending it into limp mode

They also said to replace the spark plugs and ignition coils, which I did and it ran better.

However it has recently been shutting off on my wife while shes driving, the vehicle has been doing the same thing.

Today it did not shake but happened very quietly, it began slowing down and she could barely turn, trying to turn right out of traffic and the wheel locked and she barely made the turn. The vehicle still had power, stating that she could not move the steering wheel.

Then about 3 minutes later it started and she drove it home.

I put a reader, i do not know how well it works, but I was able to fumble around and find the following codes.

2C31 OXYGEN SENSOR BEFORE CATALYTI CONVERTER, TRIM CONTROL

2C6B OXYGEN SENSOR AFTER CATALYTIC CONVERTER, SYSTEM CHECK

2C2B OXYGEN SENSOR BEFORE CATALYTIC CONVERTER, SYSTEM CHECK

29D2 COMBUSTION MISFIRES, CYLINDER 6

29D0 COMBUSTION MISFIRES, CYLINDER 4

29CC COMBUSTION MISFIRES, SEVERAL CYLINDERS

578E GEARBOX OIL WEAR

6292 CONTROL VOLTAGE TOO LOW

6293 CONTROL CURRENT TOO HIGH

I am at a loss and cannot seem to get useful help from local mechanics. Any advise/suggestions/ guidance/ troubleshooting help would be very appreciated.

The code reader is an "AutoPhix". It seems to be the EKM module to me, from what I have read.
