In terms of Europe maps, I am confused, which ones would be the best for my 2010 E90 with business Navi. Europe Move or Europe Route or should I get maps of East Europe and West Europe?

Just updated my maps following the DIY on the first page. My car is a 5/10 build '11 E90 M3 with CIC.
Tip: When using 1 USB flash drive, it's much faster to cut/paste the the files around rather than copy/paste into the root folder. Thanks OP! |

Help please
I've done all I can think of, and read all I can find.
I need help. Got my 1b.hex file from USB, no problem. Sent it through the FSC Generator. Car finds the map update on USB, asks for key, says it's invalid. I'm attempting to build FSC key with CIC ticked, and the following options: Premium North America ROAD MAP North America Premium (USB) 2018 - 1 Lifetime ticked. Code is generated, but always invalid. Attempting this on a 2010 535i with a mfg date of 09/2009. I've included the 1b.hex file and here is the VIN: WBANW1C5XAC166587 Here is the code that my computer generates: CBGWVUGVPDEK4ABNAD7Q (Lifetime ticked) 5Y75ZMQWSCGJ6ABNAAWQ (LIfetime not ticked) |

The VIN according to your FSC is 1234567. This isn't unusual for early CICs, but can indicate a CIC retrofit. If your CIC is a retrofit, the 1B file from the headunit may not work to create an FSC key, depending on how it was activated. |

Thank you for the quick reply. I was thinking those numbers were definitely wrong. I even tried changing them to the last seven digits of VIN with no luck, and tried using the date function, with last seven, based on the date code contained in the 1b.hex. Still no luck. I don't have reason to believe it is anything but stock, but regardless of that being the case or not, I'm curious as to how I would now have to proceed. Is this where an enet cable comes into play? If not, can you possibly point me in the correct direction? |
