Bmw M grille stripes or not !

Hey Guys,

Got a 330i M Sport, got the blacked out kidneys , badges etc. Can't decide about the M stripes on kidney grille. I know it's a marmite thing but are they a cool ? Or not mod ? . Cheers guys

Everyone I know who has done that has removed it after a short while.

That depends on whether or not you are a teenager driving a Vauxhall Corsa or worse still some French tin box!

Leave them off. Gloss black grills on their own will lift the look of the car greatly just on their own.

Chav mod, even on an actual M car it's terrible.

"The Oxford English Dictionary defines chav as an informal British derogatory, meaning "a young lower-class person who displays brash and loutish behaviour and wears real or imitation designer clothes"."

It seems that as the e9 & e6 gets older such 'tastefull' additions become more common, I often see 3 & 5 series enhanced by m stripe grills now.
A couple of streets from where I live someone has recently bought a black 2007 335i msport, nice car I thought when I first saw it a couple of weeks ago. Drove past it on Sunday and it now has m stripes in the grill & a m badge on the boot lid.

Oh those ///M badges are the absolute worst!!!

When I was filling my car up at Costco the other week I saw a matte grey F10 "M5" though something didn't quite look right about it. Inside was the guy looking all cool and smug with his modified wheels etc. I got out my car and when he started it up to drive away there was a lovely tractor diesel sound...
What amazed me was the extent to which this guy had made his 520/530d look like an M5. M5 front bumper, side gills, bodykit, rear section, 4 exhausts. Crazy if you ask me.

I think you can buy a m stripes insert Instead of the blacked kidneys.
