Almost a 10s -11.038s

I had another couple of runs at the Test N Tune last night. Best run was a 11.038s @ 126.42mph. Although a slight improvement on my best still short of a 10s run again. It felt like I had got it but not to be. Top end speeds were down on all runs for some reason. I don't know if I was getting some fuel surge but the datalog shows both the LPFP and HPFP dropping pressure in 1st and 2nd gears.

Received a revised tune from BQ Tuning that has increased the boost in the higher rev range. Hopefully, this will get the speed up at the end of the strip. Does anyone know what the minimum fuel level should be in our cars to prevent fuel surge under hard acceleration. I started with approx. 12L dropping to 6-7L remaining after 3 runs. I know with the turbo Ford Falcons, you must keep the fuel level above half to prevent fuel surge/starvation. In 1st gear on the 11.038s run, it accelerated from 3,872 - 7,065rpm in 0.84s.

Don't know what the level should be on these cars but I would get to the track with just over 1/4 tank of fuel with a spare 10L jerry can of either MS109 or E85 just to top up if it was a quiet night.

Sorry I know that doesn't really help but that's what I always did.

Why do you think the mph is inconsistent?
You have made 130 or 133 before yea?
126 is a bit down on that.

If the engine tune is pretty dialled it has to be the transmission tune or limits?

Anyway very close to a 10 second pass.

Congrats mate, you are almost there.
You are still pulling way too much timing and your fuel trims are maxed out causing you to go slightly lean at points. Nothing scary but enough to cause the timing drops i assume.

Was good to meet you in person mate
It was actually my first time at the drags.

I managed to get 4 runs in and lucky last i just scraped through into the 11's

Great results- but indeed looks like it is laying down up top. If you are getting timing drops definitely look into that as it will absolutely murder your power when you need it the most.

On another note a couple guys we've seen on another forum are ripping out some 1.5 60' times with some very intensive setups... only to be met with similar ET's as yourself. If you could get into that range, plus keep the timing in check, you'd definitely be in the 10.5-10.6 ET range.

Well done on getting into the 11s. Getting the 0-60' time down is the answer to better times. Hopefully, the revised tune will address the timing issues.

Hopefully, the revised tune from BQ tuning will address the timing issues. I would love to know how these guys get 1.5s 0-60' times out of a ZF transmission. I can see how they do it with a manual. Shiv did it years ago with his car. With the ZF, I find it difficult to get a perfect launch.

I don't believe there is anyone in Australia running twins who has achieved a 10s run but I will stand corrected if I am wrong. Knowing my luck, I will probably get a 11.000s next time.
