Test Driving this today what should I offer?

What's a good deal on this 335I coupe it's CPO 6yr/100K warranty. How much room you think they have to play? On the phone she told me about $36,000 is the bottom line. What do you guys think?
Test driving her today. http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...5&aff=national

I already told you what I paid for mine (34k no cpo), but it was a sedan. Not sure what the price differences are between it and a coupe.

I paid 24 for my sedan. Its an 07, sport pkg, no accidents, premium leather, heated seats, had 45k and isn't certified. Still though, you can do better...

Thanks bro,

I know a sedan is at least $3000 cheaper. I could pick up a blk/blk 6MT loaded with Nav,Prem,Cold, Logic7 etc...for 34K 2008 with 12k miles not certified but from the original owner.

The black one I was asking about yesterday has 17k miles and no premium package and it's $34,7xx but I'm seeing if they'll certify it for that price at no cost.

Do what I did, keep walking away till they get down another grand or so. Tell them you don't need the car! Worked for me. But, they are in the ballpark.

No bad.

I'd buy from a private seller and save 5k or so, if not more...

LOL. Nice

Bring in adds from other cars and let them know up front that you want their best deal and you cant spend a ton of time there casue you have to go to other dealers. Always worked for me. Dont get excited and if you drive it or look at it find anything you can to talk about and say things like oh I dont like this or that isnt whatI wanted. Make it seem like yoru setteling.

Go on Kelly Blue Book, find the trade in value for that car and then ask for that +$500 and go from there

is it a good deal?

IMHO you could lease a brand new one with 0 miles for payments that are not far from what you would pay by financing a 36k car. I put 1500 down and got a 45k car for 41 brand new with 0 miles.

Play the "I'm not sure I want MT" card.

While many on the board want MT, the truth is that many dealers have a very hard time moving MT cars.

In addition, this is a really bad time of year to sell RWD sporty cars.

I haven't seen 1 x 2008 335I with NAV/Premium/Sport/Heated seats with under 20k miles on here for 32K sure I saw one for $32,500 without Nav and premium etc...... so buying one from a certified dealer for $34,6xx with 100k miles/6 yrs warranty sounds more attractive don't you think?

When I build one it comes to $51+ with the options I want for a new one.
Even if the dealer knocks down $3500 plus $2500 (holiday insentive) I wonder want 4.9% would cost to finance after taxes etc....I will compare new and CPO though while I'm there.
