Thumbs up BMS Meth kit w/ CMGS, 1.5gal "quick mount" tank

I got my N54 Meth kit w/ CMGS, 1.5gal "quick mount" tank installed, and let me share my experience with everybody here on this forum.

Special thanks to Daniel for the professional installation. It is a little bit tricky, so I highly recommend him if you live in Southern California and need help with any kind of installation.

I got a $50 replacement elbow from HP autowerks:

http://www.hpashop.com/product.sc?pr...categoryId=110

We drilled that replacement elbow, and placed the injector on the top.

I ordered the BMS meth kit with CMGS controller and the 1.5 gallon quick mount tank.

After Daniel installed the kit, meth flowed for a while and then it stopped flowing. It took a little time to figure out it was due to air bubbles in the system.

Once you install the kit, make sure you purge the system of air before you go on a test drive:

Remove the valve, and put that end of the hose in an empty plastic tank. Fill the reservoir quick mount tank to the top with water (or water/meth mix), connect the wires of the pump directly to the battery, and let it flow until air is completely purged. Once you made sure there are no air bubbles in the system, you can put the valve, and the flow sensor back together (make sure they're sealed properly and the arrows point towards the nozzle).

After a few successful test-drives, I changed JB3 to map 7.
I also set CMGS to min boost 6, max 12, which means it starts to pump meth when boost reaches the 6 psi min threshold (pump operates at 25% duty cycle on that min boost level) and at 12 psi the pump works on 100% duty-cycle.

I tried map 7 before on 100 octane race gas. The car was a beast, but $8.99/gal was a little expensive, so I was restricted to map 3 only (max pump gas in Cali: 91 octane).

With this meth kit I can constantly run on map 7, and what a difference it makes...

This solution is well worth its price. Especially if you live in a 91 octane only state. It's like running on race gas but you only have to pump 91 octane. The 1.5 gallon tank lasts so long. I've been running on this kit for over a week now, and it's still about 7/10 full.

I also highly recommend getting the CMGS controller with the kit. You have to do the installation anyways, so adding a few hundred bucks will give you total control and flexibility for your setup. It also monitors boost level and meth flow. Not to mention the failsafe option which gives you reliability at all times.

Attached are pics of my setup.

NICE! I got the exact same setup in the mail yesterday and waiting to install it on my day off on Wednesday. Being a 91 octane state (AZ) meth will be a huge help. Looks like you ran your lines through the cabin? i've heard of guys doing it under the paneling beneath the car or inside the cabin, i'm not sure which is better...

It's all about how fast you can take it back out at night on the side of the road after the HPFP blows on those WOT Vbox runs.

Please keep us updated on performance with some BT timing logs hopefully (yes I know Shiv, the sampling rate is too low ).

The installation took for a while, it was challenging because we didn't know why meth was not flowing in the beginning.

I also wanted this to be as reversible as possible. That's why the wires are not hidden in the trunk. The tank is easily detachable. I used heavy-duty velcro from home depot to mount it.

Lines are run through the cabin on the driver's side, under the threshold and under the dashboard through the firewall to the chargepipe elbow where the nozzle/injector is.

I haven't tried map 8 yet, I'm still enjoying map 7.

Lol I wasn't gonna say anything but since other are as well-- please clean up that install! I wouldn't call that a 'Professional Installation'... I'd call this a professional installation.

Other than the wires, good job! Enjoy the juice.

What's needed for these kits is to wire in quick connects for electrical and quick connect couplers for the boost and meth lines both in the trunk and under the dash so that the hidden lines and wiring can be left in place for simple or unexpected dealer visits while the tank/pump and underhood equipment can be removed, packed in a waiting duffle bag, and stuffed with your piggyback into a loaner vehicle (Prius or Camry).

You should have accepted that you will foot the bill to have it towed to your house first when modding.

I realize you don't care about being neat and all, but if thats a professional install, those wires should have been covered up with some wiring looms...I hope you didn't pay too much because if I paid someone to install it, that would be totally unacceptable
