If you've set up sale alerts for their items, they email you a couple of days ahead of time when the item will be going on sale (I presume across the country) and what its price will be.
It said: Starting June 25th, you’ll be able to take advantage of these prices in your local Canadian Tire store. |

I also go out of my way to avoid purchasing cheap (inferior) products that are made in Communist China. That’s admittedly getting much harder to do these days though. When I am forced to buy a shoddy Chinese product, I expect it to break in less than 3 months. Basically, "Made in China" = low quality junk. Communist China is also one of the biggest threats to global security, yet that's where we're sending all our money (and jobs)...

Sorry dude but I have to disagree with you. I have had my Motomaster jack for about 5 yrs and I have no issue, the only reason I want to buy a new one is because I am buying a new car, not logical, however I wanted something for lower profile cars. I have no issues paying for quality, however I have issues paying for more than I should/need. So a $500 jack would be a waste of money, unless I am running a business where there is a liability there is absolutely no need to buy a $500 jack. If I am buying a hoist then I will spend money. Your comment on getting crushed under your car, how often to you go under your car? Also you SHOULD NOT use your jack to go under your car. There is a reason why there are jack stands. And those jack stands are very solid, I can tell you that. The ppl that gets crushed are usually ppl that are not using the jack properly. In every jack there is always a "recommendation" on what the jack max weight can handle such as 1tonne. I guarantee you that jack will still hold or jack a car that is 1.2 tonnes. Thats where tolerance comes in. |

Hey guys, I know this thread is kinda dead, but I just got this as a gift from my neighbor:
http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brows....jsp?locale=en Will it work for the random blowout quick fix or should I return it? You're all talking about a low profile jack. Will a regular not work for a 328i? Thanks for the advice guys! |

PSA: There seems to be a 3 ton version of it now, almost as low profile (4" vs. 3.5"), and it's on sale right now for $135. I've not had any issues with mine after 3 years of use, and two cars per season, and it's the 1.5 ton version, but in case you need the higher rating, that's on sale now.

If weight is of any importance, pay attention to that. The one you posted says it's 100 pounds, whereas the original motomaster one I posted is like 25 pounds, and the one I posted on 4/16 says it's around 65 pounds.

Looks like it's going on sale Friday?
http://forums.redflagdeals.com/canad...9-99-a-1338874 I didn't find the Torin jack at Costco, so I think I'm gonna bite the bullet and buy this one this weekend. Anyone who already owns this want to comment on quality, and how fast it jacks the car up? I hate having to pump 20 times to get my wheels off the ground. I'm also considering the Michelin 2-ton Premium Trolley Jack that's half the price: http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brows....jsp?locale=en I don't mind paying for the Motomaster one at $99.99 if the quality is there, though. Edit: Bought the Motomaster Aluminum racing jack today. This thing hits max height fast! Love it! Last edited by dassub; 05-17-2013 at 01:17 PM.. |

So that's officially 3.5 years it lasted if it dies. So that's like $30 a year I spent on it... Can you fix them / is it worthwhile to do so? Is there a point in just adding some fluid once in a while? Or just wait for it to die completely, then chuck it? |
