Original stereo replacement issues

Hi guys,
just looking for some advice. Bare in mind im rubbish with electrics hence im on here for some help.
Ive got an 09 E92 320d, her stereo died a few months back. Screen dead no sound etc. This car is equipped with USB/Aux in arm rest and bluetooth.
Anyways I got a replacement from ebay. Exactly the same make and model (CD73). When it arrived looked exactly same and installed it and it worked. Well Ive got radio, CD and chimes... No options for USB at all, and no phone options either. I need the phone for work.. Anyway im guessing this model wasnt built with USB support/ didnt come with that package? I can still connect phone to BT so presume its in the car not the stereo. Anything I can do here or just send back for refund and go the 3rd party route? Any help appreciated. Cheers

USB comes from a separate module .
Mulf 2 Hi most likely.
Also your new radio must have a most bus connection
to talk to the Mulf 2Hi , some don't .
You have to program the Radio to recognize the module.
and any other modules that may attach to the Radio .
This can be accomplished using BMW Standard tools using the program
NCSexpert. Or Bimmergeeks Pro tools might do it.
There is a copy of the original programming contained in the CAS and FRM
modules the process called default (original oem from VO) accomplishes this
via NCSexpert.

Check for Most Bus connection on the back of the Radio .
Then default code.
