Finished up my LED interior light conversion. The front dome light was a pain.

It wasn’t too bad if you unscrewed the two inner visor clips from the headliner. You could then pull the headliner down enough to get your hands in to pop both little tabs from the inside.

What did you use to get the headlights that clean?

I used the 3M 39008 Headlight Lens Restoration System, Meguiar's Ultimate Compound (instead of the one in the kit), then several coats of wax to finish it off.

OEMASSIVE was the seller on ebay. The cutoff was kinda off for me, the line was not as clean as the OE Xenons. But it got the job done when it came to visibility.

Accomplished a few projects over the Holidays:

1) installed Philips X-treme Ultinon H7 LEDs for high-beams. These are significantly brighter than the halogens they replaced. Since they're high beams, scatter and glare aren't a concern. Installation required minor modification to the headlamp housing.

I plan to test another pair of Philips LEDs in the low-beam position. This application will need further mods to the headlamp housing to fit the large LED housing.

2) the car was aligned to OE specs. the rear-end was extremely loose and the car hadn't been aligned since taking delivery. the pax-side rear was toed out. The toe-out was remedied and the car tracks straight and feels stable now.

3) installed Turner 60A motor mounts and OE E30 trans mounts (stiffer than the hour-glass shaped E90 mounts). Thanks, feuer!

4) installed M3 front undercarriage stiffening plate to mitigate chassis flex. I haven't seen this on another non-M. I believe mine is the first.

5) installed M3 cluster. this completes my M3 interior conversion. the motivation for this was my desire to monitor coolant temps without having to access hidden menus, and simple aesthetics. I feel both goals were accomplished

Actually the trick is to first take the dome light cover off, then take the map light surrounds off, the tabs will be exposed, you then take a paper clip and pull the tabs towards you. Came off in 30 seconds!

Installed front M3 LCA. Due to winter ride height max camber from LCA and TC Kline camber plates is -2.75. Wonder how much of a drop yields -3.0 neg camber? I also removed the fold-down rear seats and cargo security screen; saved 77 pounds.

I believe it! that security screen housing must weigh 35lbs alone. It's an incredible anchor.

Had to pop the plastic casing off of the rear side of the center console so I could fish my aux-port wire back through the hole because the entire plastic input piece fell in.
