I was actually thinking the same. Any recommendations of where I'd be able to get this done? Also, what's the cost?

There's a place around me that does it, it's 80 bucks for each wheel. So you'll have to get your tires taken off, powder coat it then put the tires back on. I thought about it bc my wheels have been to the "wheel repair" guy and they are a disaster! For a little more, get brand new wheels!

the shop is bonehead performance

I was going to get my wife's new Advan AVS T5 wheels powder coated till I found out it would void the warranty.

If the powder coater doesn't know what they're doing with temperatures they will weaken your wheels.

you really don't know what your talking about, its only baked at 400 degrees Fahrenheit... that's not hot enough change any strength on any metal

if you pasti dip them, what happens when you need new tires, does taking the old ones off and putting knew ones off ruin the pasti dip and may scratch some off?

it is a pain and it takes practice. yes, if they remove the tire your dip will come off. You can reapply it though

i have black powdercoated rims. they honestly look like they came from the factory like that.

however, i would recommend plasti-dipping them. it's much cheaper, looks pretty much the same, and it's easy to take off if you don't like the look.

Some alloys can be affected by that temp and if it's baked too long it could damage as well
