Woofers. Under Seat or Boot ?
Just want some advice on what to spend my money on really.
I've been gathering info for the past few weeks and have worked out that I've got a Professional head unit and it's hifi and not logic 7. Do I go for an amp'd under seat sub upgrade, rear seat enclosure or an under the boot carpet job ? I've kept this guide and intend to amp what ever I fit and tap into the current speaker feed. Thanks

I have gone for underseat subs upgrade. Bass in the car is excellent but if you go out of car, side skirts scream and add additional distortion.
Underseat enclosures open toward side skits, and with upgraded subs, air pressure toward side skirts increases and hence they create funny noises. Underseat subs are better for driver / passangers, however 8 inch subs can produce limited bass. Subs in the boot can vary in their size and hence in their bass creation capacity, however that is more for road users. You can start with under seat subs, with 5-6 channel amplifier, and later add additional sub (s) in the trunk if not happy with under seat subs.

imo if you want serious bass, stick a sub in the boot with a decent amp and sound deadening. something like JL Audio W7 will give you all the bass you could possible need.

I'm definitely in the "upgrading the underseat subs" camp. Despite everyone saying how bad the standard setup is, it's actually not bad. By replacing and upgrading the factory fit speakers you'll enhance the sound without losing half of your boot...

As said earlier, that is to start with. Most of us will be happy with it, and if not, then you can add box in your boot.

Just make sure that you get/make a corner enclosure for your sub. Im upgrading to Jehnerts soon and maybe adding a 12w6 after.
