Welcome. Nice to see another Carbon Black Edition M Sport!

If your sticking with the style 216 bmw motorsport wheels you gotta space out the rear.

Any lowering/styling changes on the cards?

So, plans changed a little. I decided to go for a bit better sound system and are installing an JL AUDIO CLEANSWEEP CL441dsp with k2 100KRS Focals and a zapco amp. To that I will purchase 2x8" Earthquake SWS-8X under-seat bass + maybe a 12" in the boot in the future. Also planing to get some focals at the rear deck at some point as well. Ofcourse a good sound deading is going all way in this. Sadly dont have photos of the sound deading progress but will try to get some once installing the system.

Got some plans for the car also after the audio system so subscribe. :thumbsup

I want to buy the 313 19" BMW Performance alloys and get a set of Apex coilovers to lower the car. I might go 5mm all round spacer or just the rear, I dont want to space out too much.

So, got the Focals installed. This is just temporary, soon I install the amp and the JL audio cleansweep. Shortly will be able to save up for some modifications and got few things in mind

Thanks,
Damian.

Is it me or do the magnets on the focals look a lot smaller than the Oem speakers? How do they sound in comparison to the standard speakers?

Love the colour and the wheel combination.

Surprisingly they are sort of smaller but much heavier and material quality is amazing. These focals were reasonably priced for what you get, as my further plan is to upgrade to morel's, but have some other plans to do before.

Well, to get actual good sound out of them, they need to be played 60-70% of volume for around 30 hours? And obviously an amplifier, but how it its now vs oem? Well not much louder (because no amp) but much much clearer and more bass. (those sound deading sheets seem to do the job) It suits me as I listen to Rap etc.

Do us a favour though. Please resize your pics so they aren't 3 times wider than the screen. lol. Its difficult to get the full picture...when you can't see the full picture.

So sine had a couple of sound deading sheets left, I decided to stick them onto the rear doors and door panels. Took me a while and 14 sheets for the doors and 8 for the door panels.

Love the result! Doors are much heavier and shut with much less force. They have much more "premium" feel to them. Surprisingly road noise is reduced and most importantly music is now hardly heard from outside the car, where before it was waaay to loud from outside!

Car also had a nice interior clean and you can see the new pedals and LED's which are pure white!

My old car is getting sold now, which will help me with funding few of new mods I planned. Nothing big as yet, but I was thinking of maybe saving up for the new CIC iDrive upgrade. Will see.

Thanks,
Damian.

Where did you buy led interior bulbs from. I looked on ebay but there are loads of them and I don't know which seller has best ones.

I bought it from here. They are nice but I think I will be buying THIS set as this is much more LEDs and should give even more light.

Like people stated. Motorsport alloys, small sat nav and not sure if all come with leathers and to be honest I think my colour which is Carbon Black, only came with this version as well.

Thanks, Damian.

Oh right. So as a special edition it comes with a smaller sat nav than usual and alloys. Fair enough. Never knew that. I learn something new every time i come on here.

I had them spare from my old car, I can't remember where I bought them from but they did throw the error message anyway and now one of them stopped working.

Anyway, bought few parts for the car plus good EBC brakes for the rear. That's it for this month. Will be saving up for new years eve as planning to get either new exhaust or new xenon headlights with the AE. Hoping to start the install of rest of the audio system and finish sometime next year as still need to get rear deck speakers, 2 x 8" bass for front and maybe 12" bass in the boot. First, amp and the jl audio.

Will post photos of the new items soon.

Got few packages today.

Received my EBC Brakes which I should get round to fitting soon.

Received and installed the 6 cylinder dials to check and they do work with my car! Mileage is copied and all seems to work, except the oil level and rest of the maintenance checks but maybe needs a sample re-code? Dials will go in permanently soon, just need to clean them out and sort out the coding, but they do look great with the bigger display as well!

Also got my gloss black kidneys that I got round to fit straight away.
Before

After

Love that new numberplate LEDs with the 3D Carbon numberplate.

Cheers,
Damian.

Car looks good with the black grills. What's the difference between 4cyl dials and 6cyl?
