Good stuff, you should try out bluefin, I've had a good experience with the tune itself.

I have a DTUK system and am pretty happy with it

Only issue is the exchange rate now... i bought mine last year when it was still half decent.

Searched the forums, others have the same problem.
Good to hear that you have no issues.
the only reason i used tuning box we sold them for a long while at my business. the market for these units now is stuffed.

no i have had the x5 up to redline in ds with no cut outs. has two plugs one for the rail one for the boost.

i normally use the mid map...

Oh that I thought they released a piggyback or something lol. Um well technically a tune modifies the current ecu and the PPK one is just a "better" stock ecu. I'm not sure wether the new ecu actually does things like more boost or longer fuel timings like tunes, maybe it just, idk. I have no idea what the difference between the old and new ecu is but I guess you could call it a "tune", an expensive and under performing tune.

Guilty as charged. Didn't want to take the risk for something that may not work so went with the power kit. Haha bank account now suffering that decision

You mean like a flash tune or something? Haha yeah lol @account. I don't think you'd be taking much of a risk with flash tunes. For instance, there's a bluefin tune dealer in Melbourne Tigersoft Performance, and they offer a money back guarantee I think over 30 Days? Or 14? I don't remember lol. But the tunes do work and you definitely get that boost. I pretty sure most flash tunes have refund policies and they cover any engine damage that could ever happen because of the tune, at least all the ones I've seen have that. And they don't void BMW warranty when you uninstall them, which is pretty quick to do. I think the 320d PPK is more of a drivability upgrade. If you're just looking for power 17 kW is laughable for like what 3k? Whereas most tuning products are like $500-$900. Have you seen that piggyback tuner that I linked up just before? It's adjustable and claims a potential maximum of 171kW, a $550 unit from the UK.

Anyone serviced their rear diff? The dealership advised me to service the rear diff on my car due to age they say anyone knows whether it's worth doing or is it just an additional cost the dealership wants to charge?

Also a quick fuel update after the power kit my fuel consumption is now around 7.4l/100km for city driving for BP ultimate. There's an increase of 0.5l/100km maybe because the first 2 gears changes uses more fuel but it's way smoother for me. Have no idea how to test the 0-100 off the line but can always try that at the Melb cruise
