ive had the bmw ssk for a few months now and i love it everyday. a huge difference from the tall/light stock shifter. the throws are alot shorter and feel more sturdy. it requires a little more force into each gear but thats the way i like it. hah

i installed it in 15 min and you cant beat the price.

i wanted the sprint boster but i figured i would just push my foot down faster if i wanted to

How did you do the ssk install in just 15 min - did you just do the lever?

no just seach.

theres a diy step by step. its extremely easy. maybe 20 min!

the lever would of only took 2 min! put it in 2nd pull then push the other on.

We run the Riss Racing Modified CDV on Jon's car and it has really improved the smoothness between shifts. We found that the car was pretty jerky when engaging the clutch between shifts so this helped smooth out transitions significantly.

20 minutes for skk i dont think so... at least not for a 335i u have to change the entire shifting arm along with the lever, bearing, boot, and knob

OEM SSK is the shit,
had that like ~ a year now and still loving it everytime i drive.
down side is that you can't drive if you hurt your wrist LOL
i wasn't able to drive when i sprain my wrist.
other than that, always a thrill to drive, although i'm thinking of doing the CDV thing to help with the shifting

how hard was it removing it?
have the SSK now, will it be 'that' much better if i delete CDV?

nope, totally difference places as far as i know for cdv you need to be totally under the car.

Plus you probably want to feel the difference of both separately so you know the what they each do

Sweet, I was wondering why this trans was so jerky, now I know. MBJ, when you deleted yours did you just pull the rubber hose back to adapter? I might be doing this today

yep, all you do is pull out the cdv and connect both sides that you just disconnected together. I can remember which side you pull but i believe one is secured and one is not, either way just pull the looser one.

Having a can of DOT 4 brake fluid on hand is not a bad idea for bleeding the clutch system after the delete or install whichever you choose

229? i paid 60 for just the shifter and 40 for a M knob and yes it is very worth it, shifts are very short and tight i love it and would never go back.
