Aaaaarrrrrgggghhhhh! Bollocks!

There goes my clean licence! My own fault of course but I got zapped on the M6 Toll this afternoon

I was very lucky though - empty motorway (as usual on that road) could have resulted in a lot worse than being caught at 99mph!!! Soooo close to a ban.....

Yep, there was one rozzer on the bridge with a gun and of course, by the time I saw it the time to slow down had passed!

A few seconds later I'm being pulled over by rozzer number 2. In fact, so badly did I know I was caught that I think I was on the hard shoulder before the blues and twos were put on!

Must have been a good day for them; whilst I was in the back of rozzer number 2's car, rozzer number 3 and 4 pulled over another 2 people.

Sorry to hear of your loss of clean licence. That motorway lulls you into a false sense of security; usually empty Motorway, not many plod around....and sitting in a 500bhp M6 I suppose you need to unleash the horses!

On the M6 in Cumbria the Plod have mobile speed traps, I think it was a tranny van with the stripes on the back driving at about 55-60mph which i saw a few weeks back. It looks like many other similar vans until you get close up. Damned underhand, and damned unEnglish if you ask me.

There are no camera based speed traps which operate from a moving vehicle.

Maybe this was a scamera van on it's way to park up somewhere?

It was barely ticking over - I've read your other post....go and drive that M5 and never look back!

The obligatory £60 and 3 points. The £60 doesn't bother me - the 3 points makes me boil. For Christ sake...I only just did a speed awareness course a few months back to keep the licence clean!! It's a dangerous world out there!

You are very lucky that you are only getting a ticket at that speed. Do that on the M77 and you would have to appear in court and probably get a ban!

NO expert but I am positive it had camera looking out the back and Cumbria are leading the way on this type of speed enforcement. The van had mobile speed camera slogans down the side and was driven by PLod.
