"Professional" Stereo...

Hello,

I am new to these forums, so please be gentle

I recently bought a 330d M Sport (E90 '06), which I am so far VERY impressed with... however, the "Professional" stereo that comes fitted as standard, is not particulary great. I am looking for the best way to upgrade it, I m looking for something with a bit more power and bit of extra bass. Anybody got any suggestions? I m not a audiophile so I m not looking to spend $$$ just something simple and effective...any suggestions...

Many thanks for your help,

Neilv

PS What does "LCI" stand for? I've seen it in many posts but no idea what it could mean...

See the Alpine upgrade sticky under UK Technical Section - that looks probably like the best route for you.

The facelift version came out in 2009 so your car is a pre-facelift.

You definitely need the Alpine audio upgrade, well worth the effort and expense.

Budget about £300-ish for the kit, not overly difficult to fit.

Just had the Ipod Interface and Alpine upgrade done by BMW and it is worth having done. This should have come standard with the car IMO.You get two door tweeters and the two existing door speakers replaced,so that's eight all in,but the amp doesn't power the rear two.Ring around if you want BMW to do it as the price can vary substantially.

If you look there's loads on the forum already on this upgrade. Had it done to mine and it is well worth the money. Chalk and cheese, big argument it should be standard IMHO. Do it, you won't regret it.
