Are you manual or auto?

On a stock tune with a manual tranny and a great D/A I would guess 14.5-14.7. Stock tune the only things helping are the headers and diff.

You know our d/a sucks right now?

Actually I think I remember you have an automatic? With the auto the only thing helping you is the headers the 3.73 is your stock diff... so I guess 15.5 maybe but again with a good d/a which we don’t have now.

Dragtimes.com has a d/a calculator for PBIR on their website under the “tools” section btw. D/A will make or break your time slip down here it’s quite a difference from humid summer to dry cool winter.

yes 6 speed manual, i did the rear diff mod from an auto 328i that you suggested. i like it thanks for helping me out with that.

I would be really mad, did all that work just to run 15s!! when it was bone stock it ran a 15.2. I heard the d/a can affect ET's but it better not be no 15!!

Charcoal delete, rev silicone intake tube, and K&N drop in. And... Get a BPC tune to activate that manifold and get the most out of your headers. On a good D/A day I’d think 14.1-14.2 would then be possible. I got a 14.02 at PBIR decent d/a not great with those, your mods, and MILV’s.

You really need to get the "stock 330i" tune from Bimmerlabs. Or better yet, a performance tune from BPC or AA. Without a different tune, your 3IM is doing nothing for you. A performance tune would also get you more HP out of those headers. In fact, I'm not even sure the headers are helping you all that much currently.. I wouldn't be surprised if you've lost a good deal of low-end TQ, however you probably gained at least a little more power in the upper RPM range.

MPH?

ET is traction dependent - MPH is a measure of power.

Sounds about right. My completed mods for the slip I pictured above were:
Scoops
K&N drop in
Charcoal Delete
Rev Silicone
3IM
MILVs
AA Headers
3.73 Diff
BPC Box Tune for those mods
Stock tire pressures no tricks no magic other than mods

My car was quicker than yours because of the 3.73 diff but it’s possible I was making less power than you. Without the d/a info it’s hard to compare though. The D/A was 541 when I ran that time and corrects to this:

Go to dragtimes and correct your time for the D/A. You can enter the track you used under “select track” and then select the date and closest time of your run and it has the d/a stored there. Then run the corrections using their calculator below that and compare to my corrected time above:

http://www.dragtimes.com/da-density-...calculator.php

Trying to compare 1/4 mile times without running D/A corrections is same logic as comparing 2 cars run on 2 different dynos. You just can’t compare that way!

Just to show my point...

These corrections below show my time from above but using 2 imaginary D/A’s. These are actual D/A’s I have seen at PBIR one in January was about -900, another was in August and was around 1800.

So I ran my time from above under these 2 hypothetical, but entirely realistic D/A’s that I have actually seen at the SAME racetrack but on different days.

Look how much the D/A matters. You guys need to consider that when you compare timeslips!

Even though I have performed substantial new mods on my car since that time slip in March I decided not to take my car to PBIR again until like November.

Keep in mind the D/A is just bad now and it’s only discouraging when you see the slips. After your runs do the corrections at the link I posted and get an idea where you really stand. The dragtimes corrections set to a D/A of zero btw.

Now if you can get up to PBIR on a cold January night when it’s like upper 40’s to low 50’s... well now you are talking! You can get a D/A that’s less than zero and will give you an amazing timeslip.

It did feel like that with the 325i tune. it only really starts to pull in the upper rpms but you can still feel a difference from the stock one stage intake manifold. but now i have the 330i flash tune and it really ties everything together. its a totally different car right now. there is torque everywhere and it doesnt stop pulling!

I highly recommend doing these mods for those that are tired of getting beat by toyota venzas, honda oddesy vans, your neighbors shit box project cars like civics SI etc lol I never once thought my 325i was under powered, it does its job but now with these mods it does it way better and you will suprise alot of people.

I didnt go to the track yesterday because i was trying to figure out how flash tune 330i to my car, it was kinda of like watching a monkey operate a computer but if weather permitting on friday i want to see were in the 14s this thing will be.

You're both local? Awesome.

You two should race - but the OEM tune doesn't do those mods justice. Also, I would recommend stopping at a truck stop off the highway and having the car weighed.

Apparently we are local. I was just thinking of going to hang out and maybe film his run for him...
