in the market for some wheels/tires

well finally i have wasted my tires enough for me to be looking for some new ones I'm thinking of going non-run flats or if i do stick with run flats ill go with michellin ps2 run flats i heard those are great compared to the harsh bridgestones. well so far Ive been rocking OEM 161 wheels 17" and i'm considering getting 18" wheels now i just wanna know the safe offsets for my e90 328i thanks in advance

Danny

i think 19s might be a bit too much ill be happy with 18s I've been looking at the private owners /tires and wheels thread to see if i can find some good deals and i realized I'm not sure what are safe offsets.

+1, anything low-to-mid 30's up front and mid-to-high 30's in the rear should be fine.

18's are a good compromise if you are worried about the roads in your area however you would be able to run 19s no problem. I have customers in NY City running 19's and there is enough tire profile to prevent damage.

VMRs in a wheel and tire package are a good choice, another option are Beyern if you want a lip.

OP,

To answer your question, regardless of wheel diameter, fitment are more dependent on wheel width. Here is a reference you can use as a guide for what will work on a E90 (325i, 328i, 330i, 335i) depending on wheel width:

Front:
8.0 - Offset 25mm to 35mm
8.5 - Offset 32mm to 40mm
9.0 - Offset 40mm

Rear:
8.5 - Offset 25mm to 37mm
9.5 - Offset 27mm to 35mm
10.0 - Offset 37mm to 40mm

I hope this helps on your quest for your new wheels. Good luck

Matt
