I heard it wears out the stock struts faster.. someone confirm?

It will cause more wear and tear on stock shocks but you dont really have to worry about that til later down the road (50,000 miles or so).

Stock shocks will wear out faster, thats true. When I had springs in my Honda prelude, I had to change them after 70,000 miles tho, not because the ride was horrible, but because I felt safer doing so.

hmm nevermind then, i doubt the dealer would cover the warranty on struts if i used lowering springs

Installing springs will void your warranty when its concerning your suspension
