Congrats! Looks like its in amazing condition. Only 4,000km/year. The 325i is good with manual transmission - a lot better than the auto!
If you find the clutch has a spongy slow feeling, there is a way to change that. |

Thanks guys. Seeing at night is ok, just take right hand turns nice and wide, dont want any median strips sneaking up on me!
John I havent noticed any clutch problems but is there a little trick i should know about tomimprove anyway? Im not looking to do too much to this one. Maybe black grills and window trim plus blackline tail lights (anyone suggest best place to buy tail lights.) Mechanically id just like new sway bars to stop the roll, i live in the inner city so lowering would make daily life too unbearable. i understand fitting the rear bar is a nightmare, does anyone know roughly how many hours of labour are involved in a rear sway fit? BMW put some restriction on the hydraulic clutch line called a Lock valve, or CDV "Clutch delay valve". Its a little plastic fitting with a small aperture. I think BMW do it to prevent drive train damage from people who dump the clutch. The problem I found is the clutch friction point isn't predictable so its hard to get the timing of the gear shift and clutch exactly right. Removing the CDV avoids this problem and gives the clutch a lot more bite. I had my car modified and was very pleased with the results. However I have noticed a slight clutch shudder that comes and goes. I don't know if its related to the modification but maybe it's possible. Anyway I'm still happy with the mod because its better to drive.
