N55 PS2 Datazap logs wanted!
Trying to debug my PS2 setup and would love to see a 'good' PS2 log as a comparison, would you guys post a few so I can compare? Not sure if I have a boost leak, bad boost solenoid, etc. Basically 2nd gear spool is really weak compare to stock turbo, and WGDC% is too high at the boost levels I'm running.
Here's my current log on pump 93 with 2 gals E85. Please share a few PS2 logs so I can show my tuner what results I'm chasing. Thx. - JohnL, Boston 2013 E92 N55 FBO, XDI, PS2 |

What tune are you running? How long has the PS2 been installed?
Possible Issues, boost leak, bad boost solenoid, improper install of PS2 and exhaust manifold leaks. |

- Running a custom Wedge tune, so I'm in good hands
- Runnng a PS2 V3 according to the pictures. Any advantages / disadvantages to that compared to V1/V2? - Going to tuner to check for all symptoms: boost leak, bad boost solenoid, improper install of PS2 and exhaust manifold leaks. - Can anyone share a log of a 'good' PS2 install? The biggest concern is lack of spool at lower revs - car is very lazy until 4k rpm compared with stock turbo. |

>> You don't need an example of a "good" PS2 log. You should hit 20psi by 3500rpms or sooner, and be able to hold 20psi to redline.
Right, exactly... so please someone / anyone share a log? As they say, 'you can't manage what you can't measure'.... |

What are you going to do with a log someone posts? Show it to your tuner/mechanic and say something isn't right?

I'd invert the question: how could I possibly tell my tuner something isn't right without provable data? As with anything that's 'broken' I'm trying to understand how things should look when running properly. Our cars spit out so much information that boost leak should be easy to see in the logs when it's present, and when it's fixed, or at least that's my theory. In any case I'm not one to just say 'fix it' to my mechanic - I have a theory I have a boost leak and looking to prove it before I start throwing money at it. YMMV Last edited by jlegelis; 11-03-2019 at 03:12 PM.. |

Thx Turbod for the data. Definitely something wonky with mine at least in terms of WGDC%. BTW is yours a PS2 version 3?
Yours: 6500rpm, 18.9lb boost, 76% wgdc Mine: 6500rpm, 15.2lb boost, 100% wgdc Also, are you running methanol? My is going to the tuner Tuesday for a checkup... boost leak, solenoid, etc. Will keep you posted... |

**Edit** I was able to hold 23 psi to 7,000 rpm on that turbo. ***Second Edit*** I am in between 100 and 300 feet in elevation.

OK, my tuner found boost leaks at the charge pipe / throttle body junction, as well as on the blocked/blanked meth bungs on the BMS pipe. He hit both with RTV and seems to be holding pressure. Gonna grab some logs tonight, but initial pulls seem *much* better.
Interesting, the V3 map for the leaky setup was 'overcompensating' for the leak, so I need to go back to the V1 basemap and adjust accordingly. Lesson for all is that if your WGDC's are too high then search for leaks. Will post the 'after' logs when available. Turbod weehe126 thanks for the guidance. |

It is common for people to install an aftermarket chargepipe and not swap or replace the o-ring which causes a leak there.

I don't think RVT is pressure rated, or that high of pressure. +1 on making sure you actually have the o-ring. Lock-tight works for the meth bung.
