V bar dimensions
Hi, has anyone ever measured or know the dimensions of E92 V bars? Planning to get V bar covers but I can't find any for E92 and wondering if I can modify the covers from the F series.

Not sure what you mean by 'V Bars' but if you mean the V you can see though the air intakes on the F series then everyone I've contacted whose posted pics on this forum of E series with the V bars admitted they were cosmetic and not functional...

Yes I meant the V bars that sit behind the kidney grilles, and I'm planning to get the covers for cosmetic purposes

Seems pretty lame to me...
If I were only doing cosmetics I would go with the air scoop instead. Also mostly useless but at least they are made to fit. Or just run some big red zipties without the bar. Here is another thread: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1520524 Oh wow people are using painted PVC pipe... Well I guess if you are doing it for cosmetics that is far superior to retrofitting the F serices bar! PVC is lighter, easier to cut/drill and cheaper! -Rich

Yes i'm doing it only for cosmetic purposes, my mate has a F30 and is planning to have them in colour and we're just trying to get our cars to look as alike as possible for an upcoming photoshoot.
Thanks guys for the input. Appreciate it. |
