If anyone is around the canberra area hit me up, keen for some cruises
First euro car and already familiar with the troubles hahaha

Car: 06 e90 335i ~150k kms
Mods: Chargepipe & DCIs, ECU & TCU flash tune

Future mods: Looking to do downpipes and intercooler with a follow up tune

The aussie struggle... where to get cheap euro parts here haha. sick of paying so much shipping from the states

Hello and welcome

Cheap parts = eBay

But you might have fitment issues, naynay had some success recently on his second car with full Chinese parts.

You should join the Facebook group it’s much more active than here for Aussies.

“BMW 1M, 135i and 335i Australia”

No USA shipping = try hills eurohaus in Sydney, they stock parts.

You can also watch the classified section here or the for sale section on the Facebook group for some good quality brand name second hand parts.

If you need any advice please feel free to message me, I’ve had experience with good Australian shops and bad ones and good and bad products

For your down pipes, intercooler and tune

Downpipe = VRSF is good price and quality
Intercooler = Wagner probably has the best rep, then there is also VRSF again
Tune = the only thing you should be considering is the MHD flash or a custom flash via MHD.

COBB, Proceed and JB4 are old and or dead options, forget them.

You might also consider a charge pipe from VRSF

Intakes are snake oil, no gains just noise, if you have extra cash go for it. But the stock air box with a new filter is just fine.

Save some Money for when things break because they will...

Hybrid turbos for the N54 are prone to failing and are expensive projects if they will.

A LPFP low pressure fuel pump and the MHD Ethanol flash is a good second stage to power mods after a 98 tune, downpipes and intercooler.

Thanks eb89 haha yeah I know alot or things will break... 1st hand experience already hahha

Replaced water pump, both turbos (with stock), coils, radiator hoses, valve cover gasket, got the vrsf charge pipe but thanks for all the info!
Got DCIs, yes for sound 😂

I heard alot of the vrsf downpipes have fitment issues? Or that isnt the case anymore.

Saving for intercooler, downpipes and will look into the lpfp
I've heard everyone talking about mhd tunes, so I'll look into that when I do the above.
Cheers guys

Welcome mate, I'm Canberra based and would be up for a cruise when my car's back on the road, currently doing the clutch

There's a few other ACT guys on here, I know Satz is Canberra based, but he's currently O/S I think

There's also a good mate of mine who's just recently purchased an e92

I've found the guys on this forum awesome, really knowledgeable and helpful

Welcome! Got any pics of your car?

There's a few Australian online retailers that have popped up now to compete with the usual US suppliers:

Clickable Automotive: https://clickableautomotive.com.au
Sparesbox: https://www.sparesbox.com.au/?gclid=...SAAEgIhofD_BwE
Run Auto Parts: https://runautoparts.com.au/?gclid=E...SAAEgJuhPD_BwE

I've generally found Schmiedmann to be cheaper shipping vs. the US parts suppliers + cheaper parts prices.

https://www.schmiedmann.com

Just watch out for what happens with the GST now... last time I shipped parts I still wasn't charged GST (after July 1) but not sure how long that will last, or whether customs just missed it o the way in
