Our lows are going to be in the high-teens for three nights starting tonight.

As an outdoor exerciser, I suppose the upside is that we're going to get used to winter early this year.

The high here was only 34F yesterday (1C for those in the civilized world). Last night's low was 17F freezing degrees.

Spent a good part of the day out in the getting-mightier Freightliner, hanging insulated black-out curtains behind the cab seats and helping my DW to build a jump seat for OCD psycho dog. It took 1,500 watts of True North electric space heater (made in Canada where they know cold) to keep the interior warm enough to be bearable, but even then I had to take several breaks to go back into the house to soak my frozen fingers in hot water to get some feeling back. This is the space heater that I used for years during arctic blasts to keep the Mighty Dodge's cab warm overnight.

Me thinks that I'm going to be buying an 8,000 BTU diesel-powered hot air cabin heater as my next still-not-mighty-enough Freightliner purchase, because I'll surely freeze to death at 40F inside with my limited blood circulation.....

I'm in the Inland Empire but yes it's still a coastal state. As I've said before, love the winters here. This is my time of the year.

PS - the summers can be blistering, though.

Got a thick freezing fog going on this morning. Visibility is approx 100ft. It's -3.5C (38F) so it's slowly starting to stick to everything and coat it in frost.
