FRM 3 turn on the lights to early.

colleagues is there a way to reduce the sensitivity to automatically turn on the headlights when it's dark. My headlights turn on too early when there is still sun. 2 hours before dark they are included. With FRM3 LED AHL is the car.

RLS has a sensitivity option, but it just slows down when I go out of a tunnel. That is, I come out of the tunnel and turn off the lights after 20-30 seconds. This is not the option

I think the setting is in the light module.

Thanks

You can do it thru BC hidden menu, might need coding to get the option in the BC but here is a path to get you there... https://www.e90post.com/forums/showt...php?p=13037051

As I said above, I have this option in I-Drive, but it is for slowing down and speeding up when the light changes. Example: If the menu is "high sensitivity" when exiting a tunnel, the car will turn on the headlights immediately. If it is "slow sensitivity" when exiting a tunnel it will turn off the headlights after 30 seconds.

I ask about the amount of light. In Bulgaria gets dark here at 07:00 pm, the sun is still shining at 5:00 pm, but the car turns on the xenon, there are 2 hours left until dark (07:00PM)

Tunafish , I took out the menu, but it doesn't want to change. The setting returns to sensitive again. I think it's from a setup in FRM. Please if anyone is familiar to say, it annoys me terribly that they light up too early.
I'm attaching a video.

If you have idrive, it's not possible to change these settings using the BC stalk.

Not sure you'll get to experience the drastic change that you want to see. Even with non-idrive cars, the change was so minimal, it was almost unnoticeable.

The RLS does have options to adjust for the glass light transmission colors.

Adjusting those may do the trick, it don't ask me what values to use.

You may want to record the current values, then try both extremes for all three colors to see which direction to use.

You have to do the procedure with engine not running but ignition on. From the video your engine was runnibg and why it probably didnt take. I know when i did my MPG adjustment engine was off...

Ignition on (not running) change your settings
Exit BC menu
Turn ignition off .. Then start and see if it took.

Does not work even when the engine is off. I tried in every way and it always comes back in 3rd grade. I think that in FRM no setting is allowed or there is something I don't know what it is. Please if anyone knows share please.

I found the setting under the RLS module retrofit documentation.

This is for the auto headlights.

ECU Fembody

RLS_DEF_FLC_SCHWELLWERT_SATZ = Normal

Is the default... but you can also use...

Un_empfindlich is not sensitive (turn on with less light)

Empfindlich is sensitive

Sehr_empfindlich is very sensitive (turn on even under sunlight)

This seems backwards to me... but hey!

There is NO timing option so yes adjusting the sensitivity will also change how long the lights will take to change when coming out of a tunnel. These are not separate things.

If you want the lights to turn on earlier in the day, which works by light levels, then it will also affect how long the lights stay on when leaving or entering a tunnel.

this slows down and speeds up the switching on of the headlights after a tunnel. I know that. I said that the sun was still in the sky in the afternoon, and the car turned on the headlights permanently. I don't want them to light up so early

No the effect that you perceive is that the time it takes entering or leaving a tunnel is changed.

You are thinking of it incorrectly.

These are NOT SEPARATE THINGS.

There is no time based controls AT ALL, excepting "follow me home".

You are NOT adjusting the "speed" of the headlights after a tunnel.

You can ONLY adjust the sensitivity.

Adjusting the sensitivity does indeed affect when the lights turn off or on at night or during the day as well as the tunnel.

Mine only turn on during the day when I am driving in a forest or tunnel and when the sun is low in the sky an hour before sunset.
