Help required on interior trim swap

Hi there

A few months back I bought some carbon fibre interior trim for my E90, but I can't work out how to mount it as there is nothing on the back of it. I considered using 3M double-sided tape but I don't think that I would be able to remove it again without breaking it.

Is it possible to move the mounting points from the OEM trim to the new one? OEM is on the left in my photo, and the new trim is on the right.

Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks!

That looks like it's an overlay, meaning it goes over your existing trim and doesn't actually replace it...could be wrong.

Some double sided tape would probably work fine. Just use something not very strong and don't use a ton of it. You're right at your assumption that too much of a strong tape you'd be asking for trouble.

Thanks for the reply. I thought that might be the case, as it actually does fit on top of my trim. The issue I ran into when test fitting it without sticking them together was that it didn't look like it would fit flush. Do you have any experience with this by any chance?
