E90/1 GTS style hood

Noticed that a new e90 lci hood came out in the "gts style", struggled to find any pics of it installed so obviously I bought it anyways

Here's the initial test fit, need to wrap it and add the roundel/vent but hopefully this gives people some idea.

Was very on the fence on how this would look but figured I'd give it a chance haha, and the hood is from Suvneer!

Definitely draws attention, fits nicely with the look you've got going imo

How is the fitment? My eyes are drawn to right above the kidneys...

Fitment overall is very good, but yeah I do need to go and adjust the front hood latches further so the hood closes without that kidney gap

The only thing I don't like about it is the side profile is a little 📈

Other than that I agree with the above, it fits your build very well! Love it.

Like!

- Is the extraction vent functional? In one pic, it appears that the OEM plastic intake duct might block the hood vent.

- Long shot.... any chance you have temp data before and after the new hood? The vent seems to be in an ideal location for extracting heated air from the back of the radiator, straight up and out the hood vent. Wondering if this actually translates to improved cooling.

Go Navy!

Good question, I think overall the vent would definitely help draw heat out of the engine bay as it flows through the radiator. The stock intake duct did actually interfere and block it off, so I removed it, my thought being with a dci it's already sucking hot air and a good intercooler should handle any extra heat just fine

Looks amazing Nardoninety, do you know if that Suvneer site updates or gets stock in very often? I saw a ton of great items, just a lot out of stock.

It's too bad they don't make one for the pre-LCI models.
