E90 320i No Crank, KOMBI/DSC No Communication.

Hi, I’ve got a 2007 BMW E90 320i 6MT that currently won’t start. The hazards button stays lit up but works when I press it. The gauge cluster from the moment I connect the battery has every light on the dash but no led screens light up just the I’ve got 5 main existent codes that don’t change when cleared and have been there since the car wouldn’t start. I also sometimes get no communication to everything else in the car such as indicators, idrive, headlights etc
00A0AA CAS: Control unit fault.
00A669 FZD: Interior lights at front.
S0085 No communication Possible with : Dynamic Stability Control.
S0119 No Communication Possible With: Instrument Panel.
I’ve removed the fuse box checked wiring behind it as well as checked all fuses in the glove box, I’ve also replaced the JBE Module due to corrosion on one of the plugs and on the module in an attempt to fix which has given me back communication to the steering wheel, wipers, indicators etc. but still sometimes drops out. Not sure what could be causing this at this point.

Any help/ideas is greatly appreciated.

Attached photos ISTA, gauge cluster and corroded connector.

The battery ? Have you recharged it ? If yes check the voltage and confirm it’s 12v or so ,
I had almost the same complaint , it won’t start and I could hear the crank and nothing else , I had a rust in battery connection fixed but still same , then I called a mechanic and he took the ECM(engine control module)it should be at the side of the hood (I don’t know which side but just check for a white covered part under it should be the ECM)
Just check it and make sure it’s okay , and the connect again ,
Mine still didn’t started ,
then I replaced my abs which was faulty in my scanner
and
then we scanned and erased everything mainly the DSC I think, and at last my dash got cleared , no lights are lit up and nothing , then it started and runs normally

Also I have cleaned EGR by a mechanic at that time,
This ^ and the abs probably has nothing to do with it,

Hi, thanks for your response, I’ve replaced the battery recently just to make sure. I don’t get a crank either, nor does the steering unlock presumably due to CAS fault. I have tested the starter motor by putting 12v to it and the engine cranks over fine.

you need to find out why connector to jbe is corroded
there are two problems in that area
1. the windscreen was replaced incorrectly or various plastic cowls not put properly after replacement
2. the car has sunroof, which has its drains which are clogged and water leak at A-pillar and goes to the car interior
