I've read conflicting information on posts from years ago that a 235/35/19 on a factory 313M 19" will rub on the front fender lining, and some saying there are no clearance issues.

Those that currently have/recently had 19" 313M's did you go with 225 or 235 front tyres and what was the result?


I'm changing all 4 of my tyres from 225/35/19 and 255/30/19 runflats to Michelin Pilot Sport 4 and am undecided between the same sizes or stepping up to 235/35/19 and 265/30/19

Car is on stock suspension (which has probably sagged slightly since 2012) on a 2012 335i sport EU spec - oil cooler on the front right (turbo side) wheel well.

I have Style 189's and have gone up one size both in width and ratio on my E92. I'd never put 30 ratio tires on my car, local roads are terrible and the ride would be equally poor. I'd look at the placard in the door jamb or look online to find the BMW spec then go up one ratio.

My car has the 313M 19" wheels with 235/35 tyres currently fitted. My car is also lowered and is running 12mm spacers. Additionally, the car has M3 LCAs and camber plates. As a result, front camber is -2.0 degrees.

Very occasionally it rubs at full lock, but I think this is only as a result of first trying 225/40 tyres, which rubbed way, way worse and has possibly pulled the oil cooler vent slightly out of position. I sold those on immediately and fitted the 235/35 tyres, which I would recommend.

I am currently running 255/35 at the rear. The car is also lowered and running 12mm spacers on the rear, which are needed to clear the rear calipers from the F3x generation cars. The car rubs under full compression.

When I next need tyres I will swap out to 10mm spacers, which should still clear the calipers. I am undecided as to stay with 255/35 or try 265/30. 255/35 tyres are much cheaper...
