Does anyone know if it is possible to code out the annoying bong that happens if outside temp falls belows 3 degrees?

Also is it possible to code out the bong when fuel light comes on?

The reason why I ask is because I have an amp running and it makes the bong very loud, i have tried to turn the volume down when the bong occurs but has no effect and is driving me mad especially now the cold weather has set in

The bongs have a separate volume setting in iDrive & presumably on none iDrive too

do you have CCC or CIC iDrive?
The latter should let you turn down the PDC/Bong volume.

Thing is, not sure how much that would help with a amplifier!
I want to know too cause that's one major issue even with the OEM Alpine retrofit suffers from.

I have the older type idrive (not sure if its CIC or CCC)

its not funny when you have passengers in the car, travelling back at 10pm on the motorway and they are all asleep and the amplified bong goes off and everyone wakes up lol

or when you are driving and the temp fluctuates between 3 and 4 degrees and bongs everytime it goes below 3 degrees lol

Maakan00 coded my bongs away from the stereo speakers after I had my amp fitted to reduce the volume. I still get them but now just from the display area which is quite subtle.

I've had a pre and post LCI e90/1, with cic and ccc and with both I could turn down the bongs with the volume knob.

Audio needs to be muted at the time IIRC?

It worked for me with the audio muted so hopefully will work for you.

knowing my luck my fuel tank is half full, and the temp outside was 8.5 degree

I've got the non iDrive version....I can't fully mute the 'Gong' but I can lower the volume.

It's still loud enough to scare the hell out of a sleeping passenger!
