N55 is a harder swap than the n54 motors, heads up sapphire135i

OP did you find what you were looking for ?

N55 is harder but at the end of the day it is the same wires, just got to do the connections and coding. I love my N55 manual E91 but at sometime it will be up for sale.

I don't think you are correct.......... I own a e91 with a n55 swap all the wires match up. Unless you know something from another planet the wiring matches up. I have the proof sitting in my driveway that is my DD.

Would you care to elaborate on "not the same wires"

I sho did!! 2011 6speed, space gray, 66k on the clock and all dealership maint. until now. Only item from my wish list I didn't get is sport seats, but those are an easy drop-in.
