There are 2 guys working at dealership, 1 left to vacation for this week and next. He is very busy and cant buy anything these 2 coming Fridays, so I am not gonna waste my time looking up cars too.
ps. only 19 BMWs for this Friday so far. and I still dont see the date for BMW Financial Sale. I was told that due to shitty economy amount of cars decreased at auctions alot. When i was buying my Audi, they had over 200 cars at the lot (even had S4 anniversary edition.....pretty rare) also if you think you can score and buy a car dirt cheap......you are wrong. Good cars sell for top dollar, crappy cars that need some work sell for good price. Example: my buddy bought a truck that had dog hair all over it inside and the truck wasn't even running and had 4x4 issues...bought for $1500. cleaned it up, fixed grounding issue, and 4x4 vacuum line and sold it for $4500 in less then a week. I could have picked up a nice 2008 A4 AUTO with 10k miles for 22k private party, instead I bought 2008 A4 MANUAL with 7k for $25500 from auction (fee included). So PP might be the best place to score a nice price, auction just gives you that extra place to find a car that you are looking for. Last edited by Kolyan2k; 06-09-2011 at 09:55 AM.. |

Kolyan2k: I realize that. I'm not looking for dirt cheap, I'm looking for a good deal on a car that I want. I understand the difference between the two. Like I said, I'm not in a rush, and figured that it would be a good option in my hunt for a car. If there are problems that are fixable with a car, I don't have an issue with that either as long as they're not major. I have another car that I'm using. There really is not much for Private Party sales in the area, I think the dealerships end up scooping many of those up and marking the price up. Maybe I just don't know where to look. Either way, if you're interested, let me know, if not, thats fine too. I think its pretty cool of you to offer either way. |

I'm searching for an 09-11 328i sedan, stick, sport/m-sport, loaded with at least premium, cold and comfort, though I wouldn't mind park assist, upgraded stereo, active cruise, etc. Not really interested in dark exterior or white/beige interior. Picky, picky, I know, but it worked for my E46, so... Oh, I'd rather upgrade to 335i than have x-drive. I'd happily consider a wagon, and I'd travel for the right car. Should you stumble across anything, please let me know.

BMW IS NOT COMING TO AUCTION FOR ANOTHER MONTH. YOU CAN SEE AUCTION SCHEDULE FOR YOURSELF HERE:
http://images.adesa.com/publicweb/co...-calendar.html They have AUDI and MB coming up, but NOT BMW. This means I will still check Auction every Friday, but its 200 cars (on BMW day) vs maybe 20-50 BMWs max (on regular day) Another problem is that on BMW day they already have most cars and pictures up by Wed. and on regular day they can list cars on Thursday and even Friday morning and some dont even have pictures until the auction day. |

Because I'm only going to be living in Boston for another year. I'm from Maine, I moved down here with my girlfriend of 4 years. She's in grad school for speech and language pathology at Emerson. My job as a merchant mariner allows me to live wherever I please, as my company will fly me from anywhere in the country. We will be moving back to the Portland area, and I have family in Central Maine where a rear wheel drive car in the winter is out of the question.
Plus, I would make the argument that while not completely necessary in Boston, it certainly helps in the winter, especially if your lady might drive it when you're away. |
