A 335 cluster makes a nice upgrade for a 328 -- instead of a stupid MPG gauge below the tach, you get a functional oil temp gauge. Not as precise or accurate as a dedicated separate gauge in a track car, but still much more useful.

The speedo can also be calibrated to show true rather than over-estimated speed (that all cars show for legal reasons), and coded to display a digital speed value between the gauges. I did this swap, recal and coding in my E91 328 wagon, and really like it.

VIN and mileage would need to be erased, to make the cluster 'new' prior to install, and recal and coding usually isn't free either, but the cost is nominal. If the cluster buyer needs a contact that can do the above, I'd be happy to recommend a great guy.
