Audio issues in Southeastern MA

Anyone in the area good with audio systems, specifically, with E90's? I just realized my aftermarket amp is always on, even when the car is off. Replaced my battery a few months ago (long overdue), but noticed the other day that it was drawn down almost to the point where my car wouldn't start after leaving my door open for 10 minutes while working on the car. That shouldn't happen with a brand new battery.

I can handle my own with a wrench, but I have next to no experience or know how when it comes to car audio. Any suggestions or input would be greatly appreciated. I can supply good beer and a set of hands if anyone wants to tackle this in person.

Did you code (Ah/CCA changed?) and register the battery after installing?

Yeah, it was all done by BMW of Warwick.

What amp are you running and where are you pulling the switched power from?

OP you need to have your remote turn on wire wired to something that is only on when the car is on. Easiest temporary way would just shove it in a fuse that only has 12v when the car is on.

As this is just a control signal really i'm sure there is a wire you can tap into in the stock amp harness.

Who did the install?

What did you tap your remote wire into?

+1 about the remote turn on wire. I don't have my own setup yet, but from what I understand you can get a low to high converter to tap into your existing speaker line to use as a remote turn on.

Crisis averted. Evidently, I'm impatient and haven't waited long enough to ensure that amp light shuts off a few minutes after opening the trunk (with the car off).

Regardless, thanks to everyone who responded and provided some feedback. I appreciate the help!
