XDrive diagnostic help
Hello fellas.
Need your expertise diagnosing a TC problem. Symptoms: At low speed, especially uphill or small gradient, when I get off the throttle there's a slight but quick multiple "clonk" / clunk-clunk-clunk from the gearbox area (front maybe). Anyway, thats my impression from inside the car. Sometimes I can just about feel that on the gearstick (manual gearbox). Stealership told me it was certainly the TC just starting to go - with all the ensuing bu((€hit about changing all 4 tyres etc. And that the entire TC had to be changed. I'm hoping that its just the electronic actuator worm-gear... Can it be something else other than the worm gear? There is no warning on the dash and the car drives absolutely fine. No probs with engaging any of the gears and the rattle is not present when I "load" the drive train ie: drive it like I stole it Cheers! Last edited by ChawenHalo; 03-09-2018 at 01:49 AM.. |
